Columbus Woman Sentenced For Cashing Stolen Treasury Checks
Michael J. Moore, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced that, Wytrenia Reynolds, aged 44, of Columbus, Georgia, was sentenced on January 27, 2015 to serve 5 years in federal prison for theft of government property, aggravated identity theft, and possession of stolen United States Treasury checks. She was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $39,000.00. The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Clay D. Land in Columbus, Georgia.
Ms. Reynolds was found guilty of the charges on September 25, 2014 following a four-day jury trial. Evidence presented at trial showed that in September 2010, Ms. Reynolds cashed or attempted to cash three stolen treasury checks at Navy Federal Credit Union in Columbus, Georgia. All three of these checks were payable to individuals living in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. All three checks bore forged endorsements and were presented by Ms. Reynolds without the permission or authority of the intended recipient.
In October and November of 2010, Ms. Reynolds cashed thirteen stolen Treasury checks at a package store in Columbus, Georgia. The payees for these checks primarily were residents of the Atlanta, Georgia area, although two lived Alabama.
In January 2011, agents recovered three stolen Social Security checks in a vehicle leased by Ms. Reynolds. These checks were payable to elderly victims living in Thomaston, Georgia, and Ellenwood, Georgia.

COLUMBUS, GASpecial Agent in Charge Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta and Federal Protective Services , U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announces the arrest today of Michael Eugene Hale, age 38. Hale was arrested on Friday, August 7, 2009, at his place of employment, 5427 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia, by FBI special agents and FPS agents, without incident. Hale was charged with a violation of Title 18, Section 115, conspiracy to assault federal officers/employees.
On Friday, August 7, 2009, special agents and officers of the FBI, FPS, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Columbus Homeland Security Office, and investigators of the Harris County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office executed a federal search warrant at 1285 Central Church Road, Midland, Georgia in connection with this investigation.
Hale is currently lodged in the Muscogee County Jail and will appear before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Columbus, Georgia on August 11, 2009, for his initial appearance.
This investigation was conducted jointly by the above noted agencies and stems from an alleged threat to the Social Security office at Columbus, Georgia.

Alabama or Georgia’s Division of Motor Vehicles will issue you a license based on the results of two tests: a computerized test on theory and then a driving test. To take the driving test, you have to call and make an appointment. If you want to apply for a driver’s license you must have a letter from the International Student Coordinator to take with you to the DDS office.
